Felix Nyaende’s first half strike condemned Zesco United to their first loss of the season against local rivals Forest Rangers in the Zambian Super League.
The rescheduled fixture played on Wednesday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium saw the reigning champions finish the game a man down after Kenya international defender David ” Calabar ” Owino was sent off for retaliation in the 42nd minute.
Within three minutes of Owino’s exit, the center could not hold for the George Lwandamina’s outfit as they were torn apart by Felix’s lone goal.
Zesco are winless in three attempts after previously drawing against Lumwana Radients and Kabwe Warriors.
They remain two points shy off pace setters Nkana FC who have 19 points from 8 rounds.
