With the kick-off of the CHAN tournament in Rwanda Coming closer with each passing day teams are busy fine tuning their squads with friendlies and intensive training.
Zambia’s Chipolopolo are no exception as they are scheduled to face Angola this afternoon.Coach Lwandamina is expected to start with captain Chris Katongo as the lone striker before reverting to the Zambian way (4:4:2) with Mulao and Luchanga upfront
Zambia and Angola are set for a training game at the UJ Stadium in Johannesburg as both sets of technical benches assess how well their respective squads are gearing up for the 2016 CHAN finals which get underway in Kigali on January 16.
George Lwandamina will use two sets of teams as 22 of the 23 man squad all get a run against the Angolans who drew 1-1 in
their first warm up against Nigeria.
“This is a training game where we want to see how we have been shaping up and the
response of the players to the systems and strategies we have been practicing. There’s no pressure on the boys but they
understand that for their continued progression, they need to put in the best, “Lwandamina said ahead of the 15:30 kick-
off.
In the first half, Lwandamina will employ a 4:1:4:1 system with skipper Chris Katongo as the top striker while the second half team
will use a 4:4:2 system with Mulao and Luchanga the top strikers.
