Former Tusker and Sony Sugar coach enter the history books in Indian league after guiding East Bengal to their sixth straight crown on Sunday in Kolkata
Former Harambee Stars’ player Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo saw his India’s Calcutta Football League lift the Premier title after his side East Bengal hammered rivals Mohun Bagan 4-0 in a parked derby played in Kolkata on Sunday.
Do Dong Hyun scored twice , with Mohammed Rafique and Rahulic Bheke having a goal apiece to hand the Bengal based side their 37th CFL Crown.
With the win, East Bengal also equaled have now equaled the record they themselves had set 40 years ago, by winning the local trophy six times in a row.
Sammy Omollo who joined the side three months ago as an assistant coach and head of youth development help the team to achieve a sixth straight local league title, the second time in the club’s history. Omollo is a Caf ‘A’ License coach. He had won the Kenyan Premier League title with Tusker as a coach.
