Zambian International Patson Daka was on target on opening day of the Austrian Bundesliga as Red Bull Salzburg triumphes 4-1 over SV Mattersburg at the Red Bull arena on Sunday.
Daka struck the Fourth goal in a match that saw his compatriot Mwepu Enock start from the bench.
Takumi Minamino opened the scoring for Salzburg just after 8 minutes before Masaya Okugawa doubled the lead in the 11th minute.
Daka had a chance to make it three but he narrowly missed the target. However, in the 38th minute, Erling Haaland scored from the penalty spot after a foul on Masaya Okugawa and made the score 3-0 at the break .
The second half started much like the first, with a quick hit . Patson Daka scored from close range to make 4-0 in the 50th minute.
The visiting team scored from the penalty spot, Pusic converting in the 54th minute.
Daka was delighted with the goal and wrote on his social media, “A great win for the team and a good day at the office for me ? Always happy to be on the scoresheet.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
