Tanzanian giants Simba SC have handed former KCB and Harambee Stars striker Paul Mungai Kiongera a 2 year deal just one day after they parted ways with coach Zradvko Logarusic .
Also handed a 2 year contract is midfilder Pierre Kwizera from Burundi.Kiongera played his first match in a 3-0 loss in a friendly match against Zesco of Zambia. For the past 2 months Kiongera has been linked with a move to Simba after it became apparent his former coach at Gor Mahia Croatian Zradvko Logarusic wanted his services.
Kiongera joins two other former Gor Mahia team mates Donald Mosoti and keeper Phillip Mapunda who were signed after the Croat took over at Simba after falling out with Gor Mahia.
Simba sacked Logarusic who was accused of insurbodination and luck of respect to the officials and the 3-0 loss against the visitors componded his misery as he was sent packing.Suleiman Matola was appointed as the caretaker coach .
Kiongera has regained his form scoring some crucial goals for KCB who found themselves deep in relegation zone and his move to Simba will distabilise their striking options.
