New Harambee Stars coach Paul Put has checked into camp Sunday for the upcoming CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup that, Football Kenya Federation has confirmed.

Training proper starts Monday in Nairobi for the tourney set to kick-start on 3rd to 19th December.

Put, who was unveiled last week on a two-year deal will oversee the training as he begins his tenure as Harambee Stars coach.

Gor Mahia defender, who is celebrating his birthday today, has been ruled with an injury and will miss the regional championship.

In his place, Zoo FC defender Isaac Kipyegon has been summoned to take up his slot.

Isaac’s teammate Nicholas Kipkirui has also landed a late call up.

Kenya are in group A will open the tournament on the 3rd against the Amavubi of Rwanda.

The hosts last bagged the trophy in 2013 when they staged the tournament.
