Paul Were -Amazulu(South Africa)
The former Tusker FC and AFC Leopards winger Paul Were was benched as his side Amazulu got relegated to end their nine years top flight football in PSL after going down 1-2 against Maritzburg on the last day of the league on Saturday 9th.
Amazulu finished last in the 16 teams league with 27 points from 30 points.
Paul Were’s first season at the the South African side has been low key finding it hard to break into the first team and only time will tell his future at the club.
Victor Wanyama -Southampton(England)
The Harambee Stars skipper featured fully in Southampton 2-0 loss to Leicester on Saturday 9th.
Algerian winger Mahrez Riyad struck twice in the first half to put the Saints Europa league dreams to danger. Southampton remains 7th in the EPL log with 57 points from 36 matches.
David “Cheche” Ochieng-Al Tawoon(Saudi Arabia)
The Kenyan international defender clocked 90 minutes as his side Al Taawon let go a 2-1 lead to settle for a two all draw against Al Ahli.Mustafa Al Bassas put Al Ahli in front in the 19th before Al Maghrabi equalized, he grabbed a brace to put the Cheche side ahead in the game but Mohammed Aseri equalized in the dying minutes of the game to deny Al Taawon maximum points.Al Taawon are 9th in the Saudi Arabia league while Al Ahli is 2nd.
Dennis Oliech-Al Nasr(Dubai)
The former Harambee Stars skipper featured in Al Nasr 5-1 loss in the hands of Al Wahda on Sunday 10th to finish the Arabian Gulf League on a low.
The Oliech side finished 5th in the 14 teams league with 39 points from 26 matches.
Arnold Origi-Lilestrom(Norway)
Lillestrom suffered 3-0 heavy loss to Rosenborg on Saturday 9th to drop to 13th in the Norwegian top tier league with 8 points from 7 matches. Origi who has been Lillestrom’s first choice keeper featured fully in the match.
Allan Wanga-Al Mereikh(Sudan)
The former AFC Leopards striker was involved in Al Merrikh 5-0 thumping of Al Ahli Wad Medani to go top of the Sudan league with 30 points from 14 matches.
The Kenyan international has been instrumental for the Sudanese side scoring crucial goals both in domestic and international competitions.
