Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane is cleared to lead the team from the dugout again after recovering from a COVID-10 infection, he said on Saturday.
“Finally, the virus is out my system. Thanks to everybody for the love and support during the past difficult two weeks,” the South African coach said on Twitter.
“Can’t wait to reunite with the Mosimane and Al Ahly Family.”
Mosimane returned a positive result on 16 December, missing Ahly’s victories over Ghazl El-Mahalla and Niger’s Sonidep in the Egyptian Premier League and African Champions League respectively.
He could now lead the club when they meet Ittihad of Alexandria in their next league match on Monday.
Mosimane, who took over at Ahly in October following the sudden departure of Swiss coach Rene Weiler, led the club to a long-awaited African Champions League title last month. He also steered them to an Egypt Cup triumph.
