Portuguese based attacking midfielder Emmanuel Banda Jr has joined the Zambia U20 National team spanish camp. The former Nchanga Rangers man was one of the top performers in the MTN/FAZ super League in 2016 before making his switch to Portuguese side Sporting Clube de Esmoriz.

The arrival of Banda Jr has boosted the squad and likely to leave coach Beston Chambeshi spoilt for choice ahead of monday’s practice match against Real Madrid B.

The team today took some time off their busy schedule to tour Estedio de Tenerife the home of CD Tenerife.The 2016 COSAFA champions have been invited to watch the match between Tenerife and Elche, Which will take place today at 19hrs Zambian time.

The young Chipolopolo have also cancelled their practice match with Las Palmas to allow players to recover from knocks. The development was confirmed by Lee Kawanu who is the delegation leader.

“The two games we played were very intense so we only have Real Madrid B left on our schedule. Our next game is against Real Madrid youth on Monday at 13hrs zambian time”- he said

The young Chipolopolo are in spain for a week long training camp which they are using to prepare for the 2017 Africa cup of nations. The continental showpiece will be hosted by Zambia between the 26th February and the of 12th March this year.
