Posta Rangers manager Sammy “Pamzo” Omollo has been charged before the Kenyan Premier League’s Independent Disciplinary and Complaints Committee with assault.

Pamzo is accused of pouring water and punching Sofapaka coach Sam Ssimbwa after their KPL match played at Narok County Stadium on 27th August.

He is expected to appear before the body next week to prove why disciplinary proceedings against him should not take off.

“Omollo has been ordered to appear before the IDCC next week to show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against him,” a statement from KPL reads partly.

In the heated tie between the two league contenders, scuffle is believed to have ensued after a late Sofapaka equalizer.

If found guilty, Pamzo could be handed a lengthy ban and fine like in a similar case involving Muhuroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala this month.
