Cameroon look set to progress to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations when they face a determined Benin team in their final Group F match to be played at the Ismailia Stadium today.
Clarence Seedorf will want to ensure that the Indomitable Lions qualify with a dominant performance rather than leaving it to chance.
Head to Head
History is on the defending champions side. Cameroon have won all their five meetings with Benin scoring 14 goals and conceding only three.
Permutations
A win for the Squirrels would see them go above Cameroon. A point could still be enough to send them qualify as the third best placed team.
Cameroon knowing their pedigree would want to claim top spot in Group F even though a point would be enough to ensure they do qualify. They have been the dominant team in Group F so far and are the most likely to claim a win.
Key Players
Cameroon cannot afford to take many risks with their team selection but may look to reinstate Eric Choupo-Moting into the starting XI. Clinton Njie will also be expected to have a place in the team with Andre Onana sticking between the posts.
With Benin still having everything to play for and their own place in the next round not guaranteed, they will have to summon their big guns.
The Squirrels will be relying on Mickael Pote and Steve Mounie to do the business in attack if they have to get any chance of progressing.
