Zesco United will be taking to the Levy Mwanawasa turf tomorrow with a tread of caution when they face Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast in a CAF Champions League match.
The Zambian Champions stuttered in their last two league games with unwanted 1-1 draws against Green Buffaloes and Mufulira Wanderers.
George Lwandamina will have to get his tactics right against a very disciplined Asec side who are very much capable of hurting Team Ya Ziko in their own back yard.
Lwandanina said however that there is no need to panic ahead of the Champions League despite the two League draws.
He said his players are solely focused ahead of Asec Mimosas visit.
“Everyone wants to beat Zesco so there is need to plan well and give players enough rest to regain their energy,” said Lwandamina.
Lwandamina will look for usual inspiration from Clatous Chama, John Chingandu, Ben Adama Bahn, Jackson Were, Maybin Mwaba and Jackson Mwanza.
Lwandanina will also be delighted to consider Anthony Akumu Agay for selection after the Kenyan International missed the Mighty game through suspension.
Asec coach Traore Siaka believes the match will be tough and that any team in the group can make it to the next round.
“I have seen Zesco United play. They are a very good team so I believe it’s not going to be an easy game.
“We are here to get the three points and if there is a possibility to win we will win,” He said.
Asec Mimosas have already proved they can win at any venue with that solid win against Al Ahly in Cairo and they will definitely give Zesco a torrid time tomorrow.
The match is Live on Super Sport and kick off is at 15:00 CAT.
