Tanzania Prisons beat league leaders Simba 2-1 in the last round of the Viacom Premier league match played at the Sokoine stadium in Kenya. This is loss could be a blessing to table chasers Yanga who had previously lost two of their matches.
Simba who have been unbeaten in their last 13 matches lost to little known African Lyon before their second loss to Prisons
In the match the visitors were the first to score in the 43rd minute via Jamal Mnate but the second half saw Prisons come a rejuvenated side with Victor Hangaya scoring a brace in the 47th and 63rd minutes to seal the league leaders fate.
After the match Prisons coach Abdul Mingange said he capitalized on what he termed us ‘tired Simba ‘ considering the long trip to Mbeya and an earlier match against African lyon
“Our players took advantage of their chances and didn’t waste,i respect Simba but today they looked overworked ”
