The fixture list for the 2022/23 DStv Premiership has been released, with reigning champions Mamelodi Sundowns set to kick the campaign off with an enticing clash against last season’s runners-up Cape Town City.
That fixture will be followed on Saturday when Orlando Pirates meet Soweto derby rivals Swallows FC and Kaizer Chiefs face Royal AM away from home in two of five fixtures on the day, with Golden Arrows to meet Richards Bay, Maurmo Gallants to host Stellenbosch FC and Maritzburg United to welcome Sekhunune United elsewhere.
The opening round of fixtures concludes with matches between TS Galaxy and AmaZulu and SuperSport United and Chippa United on Sunday, 7 August, before all sixteen teams head straight back into it the next week to continue a jam-packed month of football.
