PSV Eindhoven talent Mohamed Ihattaren is honoured to be included in Morocco’s pre-selection but is not ready to make a final decision on his international future.
The 17-year-old is a Netherlands youth international but was included in a provisional Morocco squad this week for their upcoming friendlies with Burkina Faso and Niger.
After netting in PSV’s 2-0 win at Heracles on Sunday night, Ihattaren was asked about his international future by Fox Sports.
He said, “I am honored by the pre-selection, but for the time being I am not going to make my choice.
“We’ll see. I just want to be important and also make an international name for myself. That would be nice in the Netherlands, but also in Morocco. I owe a lot to the Netherlands. I’ll not forget that in my choice.”
