Egyptian club Pyramids thrashed Zambia’s Nkana 3-0 in a CAF Confederation Cup group stage match in Cairo on Wednesday.
The Egyptians opened the scoring in the second minute thanks to Mahmoud Wadi from a corner.
The home side doubled the lead seven minutes later through Islam Issa.
A clear domination of the Egyptians allowed them to add a third just before the final whistle through substitute Mohamed Farouk.
Pyramids topped group D ahead of Morocco’s Raja, on goal difference.
The defeat added to Nkana’s woes who have now suffered three defeats in a row in all competitions.
Before the clash with Pyramids, the Kitwe based side lost to bitter rivals Power Dynamos 3-0 and Kabwe Warriors 2-0 with both losses being at home in the Domestic top-flight.
