RACE TO THE FAZ MTN SUPER LEAGUE 2017

ZONE THREE

We move to Zone three in the situations of promotion to the Super League.

This Zone is quite different from Zone Two as stipulated in our last analysis. Zone Three is a bit clear of what is expected and possibly we can start pointing at a team that is likely to represent the zone in the 2017 FAZ MTN Super League.

As things stand today before the week 27 games played, statistically three teams can get promotion to the super League which are Real Nakonde (62 POINTS), Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy (53 POINTS) and Prison Leopards (51 POINTS).

PRISON LEOPARDS (51)

They are behind by 11 points with four games to play, the next win by Real Nakonde will get Prison Leopards out of the race. They have Mpulungu Harbour next, Intersport Youth, Isoka Young Stars and Malalo Police.

Foe Prison Leopards to win the league they will have to win all the four games with Real Nakonde losing all their last four. I don’t think that will be possible.

MY VERDICT: ITS DONE PRISON LEOPARDS WILL HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER SEASON.

KABWE YOUTH SOCCER ACADEMY (53)

Kabwe Youth have a game in hand against Chindwin Sentries who lie fourth and should they win that encounter, then Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy will still have some belief as they will cut the difference to 6 from the league leaders. After the game in hand,

KYSA have Riverside United, Northdege, Kasama Forest and Intersport Youth. Take note that only three of those last four will be played as the fixture against Kasama Forest is already a Walk over.
AS I said earlier the big game for KYSA is against Chindwin but all that it will depend on the performance of Real Nakonde in their last four. Its manageable but I think Real Nakonde look strong.

MY VERDICT: KABWE YOUTH SOCCER ACADEMY WILL PUSH BUT IT WILL BE THE BRIDGE TOO FAR.

REAL NAKONDE

Mkushi Millers (Away), Mpulungu Harbour (Home) , Intersport Youth (Away) and Isoka Young Stars (Home)

Those are the fixtures that will make Real Nakonde play in the Super League and they will be guaranteed of the Super League should they win three of the last four and that is if Kabwe Youth Manages to win all their remaining games.

It’s a two horse race and make no mistake, real Nakonde is not yet champion of the Zone For Real Nakonde to clinch this, they need to continue picking three points.

Personally I don’t think Real Nakonde will lose it at the end to hand it over to Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy.

MY VERDICT: REAL NAKONDE TO GET PROMOTION AND PLAY SUPER LEAGUE
