48 year old former France International Defender, Patrice Carteron has been appointed as the New head coach of Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
Carteron will replace Spaniard Juan Carlos Garrido who was sacked less that a week ago following a streak of poor results.
The former TP Mazembe,Al Ahly Sporting Club,Wadi Degla SC,Al Nasr head coach has a huge experience in managing African Club having managed over 40 games with a 64% win rate at TP Mazembe where he was finalist of the 2013 CAF Confederation cup and winner of the 2015 CAF Champions league in addition to winning the league and cup double in the DRC in 2013.
Carteron has also been in charge of the Eagles of Mali and led them to a 3rd place finish in the 2013 AFCON.
Though he comes with the above success stories and even more he inherits a Raja Casablanca side that lacks form and need huge efforts to carry the team back to the great Raja.
Carteron lost his job in November 2018 after suffering a defeat with Al Ahly in the CAF champions but kick442.com understands Carteron has been given a contract till the end of the current campaign, with an option to extend the contract depending on results obtain.
