Defending Caf Confederations Cup champions Raja Casablanca were held to a 0-0 stalemate by Otôho d’Oyo in a Group A clash at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday.
The hosts were made to rue several missed opportunities throughout the encounter and had to ultimately settle for a point as the Congolese’s defence held firm.
Raja looked dangerous from the onset, but the Green Eagles struggled to take flight as Otôho d’Oyo looked determined to secure a point on their travels.
Patrice Carteron’s men cranked up the pressure in the second-half, but a goal would not be forthcoming as the two teams duly shared the spoils.
The result leaves both teams on two points from as many matches with RS Berkane and Hassania Agadir to lock horns in an all Moroccan tie later this evening.
Otôho d’Oyo next face HA on the 24th of February in Morocco while Raja will play host to RSB in what will be a must win match for last year’s champions.
