Moroccan side Raja Casablanca officially sacked Spanish coach Juan Carlos Garrido after the team’s recent poor results.
Garrido, who was appointed to manage Raja in June 2017, led the club to the fifth position in the league after 13 rounds with 21 points after two defeats six draws and five victories this season.
The club announced that following a meeting held between the board members and the coach, both sides decided to part ways. Youssef El-Sefary was announced interim coach until a new manager joins the team.
Garrido who previously led Egyptian giants Al Ahly, Villarreal and Real Betis managed to win the Moroccan Cup with Raja in addition to the CAF Confederation Cup.
