According to reports coming out of Ghana, former Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac, is in line to take over as head coach of Ghana.
The Serbian trainer had impressive results as head coach of the Ghana national team, guiding them to make their best feast in the history of the FIFA World Cup, reaching the quarter finals and equalled the best feat achieved by an African side in the mundial.
However, with Avram Grant’s future being uncertain after failing to win any of his first five games, rumours are now circulating that Rajevac is due to take over if he leaves the post in the coming weeks.
Rajevac who recently parted ways with Algeria is remembered for taking Ghana upto the finals of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.
Other uncorfirmed reports indicate that ‘Rajevic and the Ghana FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, have already spoken’ and that they have ‘agreed that he takes over after parting ways with Algeria’.
Rajevac remains very popular amongst many Ghanaians due to his impressive work with the Black Stars during his two-year reign from 2008.
Soka25east will look further into the matter to see if Rajevac is indeed on the verge of taking over the top job with the Black Stars.
