By King Ricky,
Gor Mahia enterprising striker Rama Salim might be leaving the club for trials in South Africa with a top undisclosed club.
Club deputy secretary General Ronald Ngala disclosed that they might also loose Kevin ‘Ade”Omondi who is unwilling to extend his contract meaning he is on his way out.
Ngala said Rama had informed the club executive that he might be leaving to South Africa for trials with a top club since his contract with the club has expired.
‘We cannot block any player from seeking greener pastures elsewhere. Rama’s case is quite different since his contract with the club has expired. We wanted him to sign another improved contract but his future plans appears to be targeting elsewhere and we cant stand on his way.’’observed Ngala.
Salim was an integral part of Kogalo’s success in the last two season’s where his combination with speedy Dan Sserunkuma was a nightmare to opposing team’s.
Kogalo have also parted with midfield kingpin Anthony Okumu who is heading to a top club in Sudan
The club has however signed Timothy Otieno on a six month’s loan deal. Otieno who is a JMJ Academy player joins Gor Mahia from Division One league side Talanta FC.
The move by Gor is aimed at adding more offensive options ahead of the second leg as they heighten the pace of defending their league title.
The club has also signed their former midfielder Collins “Gatusso” Okoth who returns to the side after two years since being dropped in 2012.
