An inside source intimated to Soka25east.com that it is John Bobby Ogola to replace James “Odijo” Omondi as head Coach at Muhoroni Youth.

Odijo parted ways with the Muhoroni based side before the mid season break – and the Director Moses Adagala said his replacement would be a huge surprise.

Former Sony Sugar FC Coach Leonard Odipo who was recently appointed Technical Director at the club has been the firm favourite to step into one of the hottest seats in the Sportpesa Premier League – but it seems there’s a change of plan as Odipo is yet to commit.

“Six Million Dollar Man” as Bobby is popularly known, is one of the most experienced gaffers in the Kenyan game. Prior to City’s return at the beginning of the current season, Bobby had three successful seasons with Gor Mahia as an assistant, guiding them to a hattrick of titles – he occupied the same position at Sofapaka way back in 2009 when “Batoto Ba Mungu” won the league in their first year of top flight football.

The native of Miwani area in Kisumu County has also had a coaching stint with the national team Harambee Stars. He is regarded as the most decorated men in Kenya’s football history having won all titles available as a player and as a Coach.

At City however he has failed to make mark and in fifteen league outings thus far he has only won twice – the team is placed second from bottom in the table standings with just ten points, and are surely headed for the chop together with fellow strugglers Sofapaka who are rock bottom.

Jimmy Bageya who is one of City’s leading top scorers with two goals is also believed to be on his way to the “Cane Cutters”. The diminutive Uganda striker has been their top talisman – for the past two seasons, helping the Kawangware outfit evade relegation in each occasion.

Talks are believed to be at advanced stage, and with the tranfer window officially open today the deal could be sealed sooner if the two clubs reach agreement.

Muhoroni Youth are sixth on the Sportpesa Premier League log with twenty points and a game at hand.
