The representatives of Lille and Ivorian winger Nicolas Pepe have arrived in Dimaro for talks with Napoli over a potential transfer.
James Rodriguez’s agent Jorge Mendes was thought to be landing for negotiations with Napoli.
That forced the Partenopei to issue a strong denial on social media, but it then emerged just as quickly that those landing on the helipad were members of Pepe’s entourage.
Sky Sport Italia reports Lille are happy to sell the Ivorian to the Partenopei if they receive Algeria hero Adam Ounas in part exchange.
In turn, the broadcaster notes the 24-year-old’s camp is demanding €5m in commission and €5m a season for their client.
Pepe starred for Lille during their run to Ligue 1 runners-up last season, scoring 23 goals in all competitions.
The young forward was also part of the Ivory Coast team at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
