Every footballer’s dream is not only to play in Europe, but to get to win major titles for the national team as well.
Take for instance Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs. He could be the most decorated footballer of recent times, but he has never played in the World Cup or won major trophies at the national stage.
For Keita Balde Diao, playing at the World Cup may be one of those dreams that could go up in smoke.Balde maybe excluded from the 2018 Russia World Cup because of ‘displinary reasons’.
Reports emerging from Senegal Football Federation (FSF) indicate that personal conduct led to Balde being axed from the starting line-up for the World Cup qualifier double-header aganist South Africa.
Dakar based portal Senegal Scoop, revealed on Wednesday that the player had earlier been summoned by the president of the federation to explain his sulking during the game aganist Cape Verde but the player took it personal and “insulted”coach Aliou Cisse.
This was not only the problem as Balde went on to fake an injury and wanted to go back to his club which FSF strongly opposed.
From that moment the player refused to train with the team and continued pretending that was injured even during the match aganist Bafana Bafana in Dakar.
“After the match in Dakar,Balde travelled to France and three days later he was line up in a Ligue 1 match in Amiens.
“His overall behaviours also annoyed his teammates as he never interacts with anyone at locker room nor during meal times,”the portal reports.
