Ghanaian defender Richard Baffour was on the score sheet as his club Ismaily recorded a 4-2 away victory over Al-Ittihad Al Sakandary in a Egyptian Premier League match at Alexandria Stadium.
It was a night to remember for Buffor, who registered his name on the score sheet for the Brazilians with a powerful header in the 80th minute of the game.
Al Ittihad had took the lead fourtneen minutes into the game but the visitors ovepowered them later in the game to deny them maximum points.
“Obviously, I’m here to assist my team win the league and be a focal point for the team. At Ismaily , we play to win. That’s my first mentality when I get onto the pitch. Then everything else comes with it, “the Gahanaian said.
Buffor joined Brazilians in January 2017 where he was registered instead of Ghana’s Emmanuel Banahene, who left Ismaily heading to Ghana, after the club has failed to fulfill their contractual obligations towards him, with the player going months without pay.
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) before the season handed the club a transfer ban stopping Ismaily from registering new players after failing to pay late financial dues.
