ZANACO are through to the group stage with the new format of the Champions League ! Zanaco achieved this after beating Young Africans of Tanzania on an away goal rule that was scored in Tanzanian by Kwame Attrams in Tanzania when the teams played to a 1-1 draw. The second leg ended 0-0.
Group Stage
The 16 teams who will qualify from the first round will be drawn into four groups who will play on the following dates:
Matchday 1 between 12–14 May 2017
Matchday 2 between 23–24 May 2017
Matchday 3 between 2–4 June 2017
Matchday 4 between 20–21 June 2017
Matchday 5 between 30 June – 2 July 2017
Matchday 6 between 7–9 July 2017
Knockout stage
This stage or rather Quarter-finals will two teams from each group and the first leg will be played between 8–10 September 2017 with the second leg coming between 15–17 September 2017
Semi-finals
The winners of the Quarter finals will lock horns in the semi finals and that will be a two kegged semi final of home and away with the first leg coming between 29 September–1 October 2017 and the second leg between 13–15 October 2017
Final
The winners of the semi finals will play a two legged final with the first keg between 27–29 October 2017 while the second keg will be okayed between 3–5 November 2017
