Clifton Miheso is oozing confidence ahead of Kenya’s do or die game away to Cape Verde on Tuesday 17 in the second leg of the 2018 FIFA World Cup second round qualifiers.
The mercurial Vaasan Palloseura – Finland winger who was returning for the Harambee Stars after along absence due to injury was a stand out in the 1-0 shock victory over much fancied Blue Sharks in the first leg of the tie played on Friday 13 in Nairobi.
His pin point cross from the left assisted Michael Olunga’s header for the only goal of the match in the 8th minute.
The former Thika United and Sofapaka man was however pulled out limping for Ulinzi Stars Kevin Anwayi in the advanced stages of the match after an injury scare coming from a foul on him from an opponent.
“I’m ready for the next game,” Miheso tweeted on his official handle.
On inquiry the prolific winger explained to Soka25east.com that it wasn’t an injury but since he was returning from a long injury, he could not do ninety minutes.
“I didn’t have any injury. I was coming back from an injury so I was not supposed to start at 100%.” He clarified.
Kenya departs Nairobi for Cape Verde on Monday morning aboard a charted plane.
