Standard Liege winger Paul Jose M’Poku is the latest to join DR Congo injury list days to Saturday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying Group A match away to Libya in Tunisia.

M’Poku injured himself while training with the Leopards at El Abdi El Abdi Stadium, Morocco today afternoon.

He was excused from the team’s evening session.

The nature and extent of the injury is yet to be officially confirmed but from a photo posted by the FECOFA, the 25-year-old is seen holding his ankle while being helped up by a fellow player.

“We are more concerned about the Paul Jose M’Poku case. Florent Ibenge (DR Congo coach) will have to make do with the available players,” FECOFA statement reads partly.

Also out through injury are Jordan Ikoko, Jacques Maghoma and Merveille Bope.

The team leaves for Tunisia Thursday, as communicated by the media officer Jerry Gerard Desire.

DR Congo are three points behind group leaders Tunisia and must beat bottom placed Libya at pray the Carthage Eagles slip against Guinea to keep their Russia dreams alive.
