Russia 2018: Niger whitewash hapless Somalia

Niger put four unanswered goals past visiting minnows Somalia to cruise to round 2 of Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

The match was played on Tuesday 13 at Stade Seyni Kountche in Niamey,Niger.

Double brace by Moussa Maazou and Mahamane Cisse were enough guarantee for Niger to make another step in the race to Russia 2018, as they triumphed over the Horn of Africa side on 6-0 aggregate.

Moussa once again proved to be the tormentor of the Somalians as he also scored brace in the first leg to his side a comfortable lead heading into today’s match.

Niger will next face the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in November.
