The Kenya National Soccer team ‘The Harambee Stars will take to the pitch to square it out with Cape Verde Islands in the first leg of the first round of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
The last time the two sides met was in the run up to the 2004 Nations Cup qualifiers where Kenya edged the Island Nation with identical 1-0 scoreline both home and away.
The first match was in Praia with John Baraza netting the away winninh goal with Denis Oliech scoring a stunner in the 84th minute in the return leg.
The win saw Kenya top the group on 13 points,three ahead of Togo with Cape Verde third on 9 points.
Mauritania was last in the group.
It has been 12 years since the two teams met and now with a totally different side for both teams and with Cape Verde high on the FIFA rankings,it will be a herculia task for the host to manage the feat.
