Rwanda was gripped  with  shock and utter disbelief after CAF rejected their appeal against disqulification  after hearing on the 27th August with only a week to the commencement of the Africa cup of nations 2015 group qualifiers.

The debacle that has denied Rwanda a golden chance after a superb perfomance where they beat Libya and Congo Brazaville but the Congolese appealed on the identity of superb striker Dadi Birori who was accused of having used two different passports.

Formerly Tady Etekiama, Dadi Birori acquired his new name when he changed citizenship and joining the Rwanda national team .Born in Kinshasa in 1986,Birori received Rwanda nationality in 2009 but through carelessness again used his Congolese passport while playing for AS Vita with intention to fraudently play with two different identities.

The unfortunate incidence exposed the player and the Rwanda federation for complacency failing to stop what amounted to fraud leading to the most severe punishment that has broken the hearts of thousands of fans who had seen hope when Rwanda qualified to join the likes of Nigeria,South Africa and Sudan.

Birori who was a darling of many for both club and Country scored a hat-trick against Libya in the return leg in Kigali after a goalless draw in Tunisia in the first round of qualification setting up a date against Congo Brazzaville in the next round.After the debacle Birori who was summoned to CAF offices in Cairo was also banned indefinately from all competiions.
