Rwanda giants APR FC arrived in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Thursday afternoon ahead of the CAF Champions League second leg first round qualifier scheduled for Tomorrow(Saturday) at the National Stadium.
APR go into the game trailing 1-2 from the first leg played last weekend in Kigali, but head coach Nizar Khanfir is in buoyant mood and believes his team is capable of overturning the tables in their favour but it will not be an easy fight facing a Yanga side that has been in superb form.
Yanga, led by Amavubi captain Haruna Niyonzima, ensured they got a win in Kigali and bragging rights scoring their goals through Juma Abdul and Thabanj Kamusoko while Patrick Sibomana netted for the hosts.
Khanfir’s team need to win the game on Saturday by a two-goal margin so as to qualify for the second qualification round where they will face the winner between Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Recreativo do Libolo, who played goalless in first leg in Angola but before that they will have to fight tooth and nail to reverse the loss in Kigali in Dar Es Salaam a hurculean task that will be settled on the pitch.
