South Sudan’s US-based defender Duach Jok (Pictured in jersey 4) is set to join the national team training camp ahead of their crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin in March.
Jok, who featured in Bright Stars’ 2015 CECAFA tournament in Ethiopia, is currently a free agent after a spell with the Orange County Blues in the USL.
He is expected to form a key part of Bright Stars’ back line which will be facing Benin in their third qualifying round match.
In last year’s CECAFA, his partnership with former KCB FC defender Angele at the center back was instrumental having had the meanest defense only losing through spot kicks.
Meanwhile another South Sudanese international Isaac Mokonzi (pictured in jersey 13) will be the fifth South sudanese player to join the prestigious Sudan Premeir league . He will rejoin the league after spending only one season with Kator FC having helped them to finish in the fourth position on the log last season.
He is set to join his Bright Stars’ team-mates in Ather Thomas (Al Hilal), Aluk Akech (El Meriekh), Malek Atak (Al Ahli Khartoum), Dominic Aboy (Al Khartoum SC), and Zachariah Anasio of Al Ahly Shendi in Sudan Premier League.
The holding midfielder will be playing for Amal SC Atbara and is expected to be useful for the club as the season kicks-off today 26th of January 2016.
Isaac has been a key member of Kator squad last season after he was signed form another Sudan based club last season. He was the second expensive player signed by Kator last season after James Joseph Moga who was signed from India.
