Senegal International Sadio Mane has scooped the Standard Chartered player of the month award for August in his first month at Liverpool Football Club.
Mane who arrived at the club from Southampton in the summer transfer window for a club record fee of £36.5 million has only scored one goal in 2 matches for the club but it is his influence that the forward has on team that has earned him admiration among the Liverpool fans.
Mane’s absence was felt when his teammates were given a 2-0 hammering at Burnley but his return at White Hart Lane and debut at the Emirates gave Liverpool a different dimension in attack.
It is very encouring to see an African player make such an impact at a team like Liverpool with only two League games under his belt.
The future is bright for the young man.
Soka25east.com salutes this great son of Africa.
