Senegal star Sadio Mane’s family home in Malika was reportedly attacked by thugs after Africa Cup of Nations penalty miss that saw his team exit the tournament.
According to The Sun,relatives fled his house when it was targeted following last month’s quarter-final exit to rivals Cameroon.
Also targetted was his uncle’s residence where they vandalised a brand new SUV that Mane had bought him.
“They turned their fury on his car and completely trashed it,” a source told the newspaper.
“Mane’s uncle and his family have reported these persons to the police.
“We just hope they will get the punishment they deserve.”
Mane, 24, is the most expensive African player after moving from Southampton to the Merseyside club for £34 million (R567 million) in July 2016.
