Big league side Sadolin FC will this evening face super league side Mbale heroes in their second game at their home in Bugembe. The Elgon big league group pacesetters are hoping to maintain their unbeaten of having not lost any single game this season.
The Jinja based side has played 10 matches thus far, accumulated 28 points, scored 19 goals in the process and conceded a worthless one into the bargain. However , team tactician Musafili Semaddu has warned his players against complacency against the former super league side.
“We are unbeaten in the league and we’re comfortable at home and teams know that. So we should avoid that confidence and complacency if we are to maintain our unbeaten record. It’s not something you can really put your finger on because we are targeted,” Musafili said.
“We have worked so hard to turn our home a fortress and we are now more than determined to win maintain our record.” he added
Bugembe hope rely on their newly signed players from Bul FC Ronald Mutebi and Pauleta Emenyu for goals, though they will miss the services of their experienced goal keeper Didi Mohamed and right back Joseph Ssemwogerere who joined Kenyan side Nakumatt FC and Tanzania side Mtibwa Sugar respectively.
At Kakindu, Third placed with 20points JMC will hope to pile pressure on run away leaders Sadolin FC by registering three points against hardened eighth placed last year’s play offs semi finalist Soroti Garage who shockingly registered apoint in their last game against second placed rejuvenated KJT Rwenshama.
”It’s a must win for us at our own home. We are ready to slaughter them at our own yard because our target in this round two of the league is to win all our home games before planning for the away ones,’’roared JMC tactician Hussein Kheri.
The Jinja based side won this fixture by 2-1 in the first round at Soroti stadium. At Kumi University, James Arukan’s side Kumi University will hope to start their survival quest with a win at home against 2011/12 super league side Busia United.
“My boys are ready and just waiting to crush the visitors. We have to start winning today if we are to survive the chop. So we are not ready to loose this one infront of our fans,’’ said the youthful Kumi university James Arukan, whose team is ninth with seven points and trails the visitors whom they settled for a goalless draw in the first round with seven points.
In the Rwenzori group, Sixth placed and last year’s big league play off semi finalists Artland Koboko will have to up their game from today if their mission of playing top flight football next season is to be fulfilled. They are trailing leaders Lweza with seven points with a game in hand but a win today against eighth placed Wandegeya, will lift them from sixth to third with 18 points one a head of The Saints who will next be in action on Saturday against VCC in Masindi. Lweza lead the Rwenzori group with 22 points, chased by Baza and The Saints with 19 and 17 points respectively while the Elgon is lead by Sadolin FC on 28 points, followed by KJT Rwenshama on 23 and JMC in third with 20 points.
