Eagles super coach Salisu Yusuf has said that the porous eagles defense is now a thing of the past and that he has fixed it ahead of a World cup showdown with the Zambia Chipolopolo.
“The defense has been a worry but the last three matches we have played we have only conceded a goal,” he stated on a live television programe on Friday.
He continued to state that they are playing with a lot of discipline at the back with players consisting of those eraning first role at their clubs .
However the central defesnive pair of Leon Balogun and William Troost-Ekong will be dislodged for the upcoming qualifier in Ndola secondary to injury.
Last minute replacement Granada FC Uche Agbo together with recalled Kenneth Omeruo and Jamiu Alimi will now battle to partner Troost Ekong in the heart of defence.
Coach Yusuf said they have agreen with head coach Gernot Rohr to adopt the 4-2-3-1 formation ahead of their next matches
