Racing Genk bounced back from last weekend’s 1-0 loss to Anderlecht with a 4-0 drubbing of KV Oostende in the Belgium Pro League Play Off 1 on Friday 8 at Cristal Arena,Genk.
Taifa Stars skipper Mbwana Samatta for the second time came off the bench to score his second league goal for the Peter Maes side within the opening minutes of his introduction.
The former TP Mazembe hit man was introduced in the 76th minute for Nikolaos Karelis, and in the 77th he netted the third goal for Genk from Neeskens Kebano’s assist.
Alejandro Pozuelo had opened scoring in the 12th minute with Thomas Buffel adding the second for 2-0 half time scoreline.
Kebano completed the obliteration in the 85th minute with the fourth goal of the night.
Genk are 4th on log with 27 points, 8 points off leaders Club Brugge.
It will be remembered that on his debut against Club Brugge in a match Genk won 3-2 , Samatta was introduced as a substitute in the 79th minute and he scored within two minutes.
