Cameroonian International, Samuel Eto’o, says that he would like to start his coaching career in Europe when he hangs his boots.
The all-time highest Cameroonian goal scorer announced his intentions on French channel Canal+ during an interview. “I think everyone has his destiny. Frankly, I do not think there will be another George Weah but, I think I will have my [word] as a coach when the moment comes. I would like to be in Europe.” Samuel Eto’o said.
Going by him, he wants to change things, “…because we do not have an African coach in Europe. We will see how to proceed from 2020.”
At the age of 37, Samuel Eto’o currently plays for Qatar SC, announced that he thought that his current contract would be the last in his career, but he had however stated that, “I play this season, I play the following, and then I stop. At age 39, I stop.”
Meanwhile, Eto’o scored his first goal for his club during a Cup match against Al Gharafa, staged on September 8, 2018 at the Suheim Bin Hamad Stadium. The prolific striker opened scores at the 35 minutes, but his club could not hold back their opponents who equalized at the 89th minute to steal 1-1 draw after regular time.
