Former Benfica striker Sancidino Silva has terminated his contract with Portuguese giants, Arouca.
The Guinea-Bissau born youngster joined Arouca in January 2016 from Benfica on a three-year deal. He however failed to settle in his new team and could not replicate the good goal-scoring form he had with the former Portuguese champions.
Reports in the Portugal media has been linking him with a move away from the club on a number of occasions.
The player has finally confirmed through his spokersperson that all the parties have mutually agreed to terminate the remainder of his three year contract with the club.
“Silva and his club have decided to mutually terminate my employment contract. On his behalf,i would like to thank all the Arouca fans and the entire management team for all the love and support shown towards the player. We will now sit with and decide on the best options available for his career development,” he said.
Silva was born in Bissau in 1994, before moving to Portugal where he signed for Benfica youth team.
He has also played for the Portugal national team scoring over 15 goals in over 40 apperances in various junior teams.
