Sanga Balande are demanding 40% share of Christian Luyindama’s transfer money to Standard Liege from TP Mazembe.

Mezembe secured six-month deal for Luyindama alongside two others to the “Rouches” in the Belgian topflight after the 2017 AFCON where he featured for the DR Congo.

The deal was later made permanent after the former Sanga Balende defender impressed the club owners.

In a press conference in Kinshasa Monday, Balende, who sold the player to Mazembe in 2015 are invoking a clause in his contract, which stated that they were entitled to 40% of revenue from the player’s subsequent sale.

They say that three months down the line Mazembe have not honored the deal and have been dodgy.

“Sanga Balende calls TP Mazembe for its share of the transfer amount of Luyindama to Standard Liege,”

“The agreement provided that TPM pay 40% of the value on the sale of the player to another club. At this moment there’s no willingness to pay three months later,” the club said in a statement.
