The Confederation of African Football last year disqualified AS Vita Club and reinstated Mamelodi Sundowns who went on to clinch the CAF Champions League after the Congolese club fielded ineligible player but little did they know that the Congo Club has been a master of irregulalities,soka25east can now reveal.
In year 2017, AS Vita Club seems to have escaped the wrath of CAF on unclear circumstances after they registered Francisco Obama Ondo whose real name is Franklin Bama Yangoua a player who has been caught in a series of irregularities to become a master of cheating in African football.
Franklina Bama Yangoua history dates back in 2014.A native Cameroonian crossed to Equatorial Guinea to play for Akonangui FC and competed in that year CAF Champions League.
Luckily enough he impressed the Equatorial Guinea national team coach Andoni Goikoetxea and was called to the country’s national team for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ondo featured in a tie aganist Mauritania where he was named in the line-up aganist the north-africans though he sat on the bench.
What the tournament organizers did not know is that Franklina Bama Yangoua had changed his name to Francisco Obama Ondo so that he can be sneaked into the team just less than a year after changing his citizenship aganist CAF rules that indicate a player has to be naturalized for a period of five years to play for the national team of any country.
Ondo as he is now known was unused subsitute in the game but again this was an illegal move as he did not have Equatorial Guinea ancestry. He was Cameroonian national and the goverment of the tiny republic could have not in any way granted the player citizenship according to the rules of the country.
As if that was not enough Yangoua now Ondo, crossed over to DR Congo to try his luck.The masters of the player’s con games made him register again under the new CAF profile for AS Vita Club.
Impressive at the club,he featured in the CAF Champions League match and was a starter in both preliminary round matches played this month aganist Royal Leopards FC from Swaziland.
Unfortunately the Swazi’s were knocked out of the competition where the Congolese have eliminated them with a 4-1 aggregate win after they failed to know about the player.
The matter of Franklina Bama Yangoua alias Franciso Obama Ondo exposes the inneficiency of the CAF Organizing Committee incharge of competitions and it seems the laid constitution is not followed as it reads in Article VII Clause 9 & 10 of the regulations.
It still remains unclear of how the said footballer name has been on several occasions made through the database of CAF without being detected.
