Uganda Cranes might have exited the ongoing AFCON tournament in Gabon earlier but to some players it was a market place of their talent.
Scottish giants Celtic have expressed their interest in hard tackling and intelligent defender Murushid Juuko.
Juuko who currently plays for Tanzanian side Simba SC featured in two matches at the ongoing AFCON tournament against Egypt and Mali having missed their opener against Ghana due to suspension.
According to his agent Ronnie Mwiine Santos, Juuko’s performances caught the eyes of the Scotish side.
“Celtic watched Juuko in the national team and liked him so we are in touch and they will send their scouts most likely on 25th.Feb.2017 when his club Simba SC takes on Yanga Africans.
“However we still have a contract with Simba up to December 2017 and I am in touch with Simba FC management since we are a family. Many offers are on table from Egypt, South Africa, Turkey but I’m waiting for him to return from Gabon then we seat and make a decision soon” he told soka25east.com
If all goes on well, Murushid who will be the first Ugandan to play for Celtic and the third to play in the Scotish Premier League after legendary David Obua (Hearts of Midlothian) and fast pacy striker Ibra Sekajja (Livingston FC)
