Former Uganda Cranes Skipper Ibrahim Sekajja completed a treble of trophies with New York Red Bulls ll after defeating Swope Park Rangers 5-0 to lift 2016 USL Cup Championship.
Sekajja now a coach, a week ago guided the team to the USL Eastern Conference Championship by defeating Louisville 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
The former KCCA FC, State house FC, Arsenal De Sarandi and Salzburg defender retired as a player after playing two seasons for the New York Red Bull’s senior where he played with the likes of Thierry Henry, Shaun Wright Phillips, and was immediately made one of the coaches of the second team of the MLS side.
The trophy is his third as coach of New York Red Bull 2 this season. The first was the Regular Season Championship trophy.
