Posta Rangers Ugandan Andrew Sekayombya is a frustrated man at KPL side Posta. The Ugandan former Sony Sugar and Tusker hit man says he is unhappy at Rangers.
Speaking exclusively to Soka25east, the player narrated how his life has been unbearable at the Postal Corporation owned club.
He says after his rental house located in Ngumba estate near Ruaraka had been locked by the landlord after accumulated monthly rental arrears, he went and shared the problem with the club chairman who instead threatened to drop him if he continued being inpatient.
‘when my door was locked by the landlord I went to the chairman Mr Tonui and I was shocked at his response, he told me I was becoming petty and impatient and if I continued he would give me money and drop me’
That according to him was harsh considering that he hadn’t been paid his salary since he joined the club.
‘I signed for the club from Sony where I was paid a sign on fee of Ksh 150,000 but since then I haven’t received my monthly salary, I haven’t paid rent since then. The chairman has threatened to drop me, I am now considering terminating my contract at Rangers, I wish I stayed at Sony where accommodation, water and electricity was free. I can as well stop playing football altogether’ an angry Sekayombya told Soka25east.
He signed a two year contract of which he claimed he realized it was not what he thought as he signed as an employee with Postal corporation of Kenya and not as a footballer.
‘They wanted a three year contract and I wanted only a year, I ended up signing a two year contract, I only realized I did not sign as a footballer instead as an employee of Posta Kenya. they have told me that they won’t give me a release letter unless I pay them back the money that they used to acquire me’
Sekayombya says since he joined the mail men, he has only featured in one match and only played for twenty minutes. ‘I have only made it to the team once and that was against Western Stima, I was named in the bench and played the last twenty minutes, I lack play time and this are the reasons why I want to quit’
The Ugandan was a darling to Sony scoring five league goals and two goals in the top 8 making it seven in all competitions.
Efforts to reach the Rangers club chairman were futile.
