After being dropped from the Uganda Cranes squad that will compete in the upcoming AFCON in Gabon in January 2017, Erisa Kieth Sekisambu has turned all his attention to the CAF Confederations cup in which his club Vipers SC will take part.
The striker was amongst the nine players Cranes head coach Micho Sredojovich released from the squad before Christmas but remains hopeful he will help his club on the continent.
“It’s hard to believe that I have been dropped but that is football. I will keep working hard to achieve more and I wish my country the best while in Gabon. Now all my attention turns to my club Vipers SC as I aim at helping them reach the group stages in the CAF Confederations Cup,” he said.
Vipers SC will play Volcan De Moroni FC of Comoros in their first leg preliminary round between 11th-13th February and face off a week later in the the second leg with the former SC.Villa, URA FC and Express FC striker eagerly waiting to lift his side.
