Senegal international forward Ismaila Sarr has traded life in the French league for the Premier League after a long saga ended and he joined Watford.
Since Sarr was part of the Senegal squad which reached the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations final, he has been the subject of a transfer fight between Leicester and Watford among others.
On the last day of the English transfer window, Watford have finalised the signing of the youngster and he will be deployed as a general forward for them this season.
Since Richarlison’s sale to Everton, the Hornets have somewhat lacked a versatile forward and Sarr should go a long way to providing that.
The Senegal star becomes the second West African to join Watford this summer, following in the footsteps of Tom Dele Bashiru who represented Nigeria at the U20 World Cup this year.
Sarr will hope to hit the ground running in Watford’s first game which is against Brighton at home on Saturday 10th of August, 2019.
