The FKF PL side Nzoia united stood tall to eliminate the KPL top-flight side on a 6-5 aggregate in a dramatic penalties shoot -out.
Clifford Alwanga scored an equalize ten minutes to time to force the match into penalty shoot-outs after Mark Bikokwa scored from the spot at the hour mark to hand Nzoia the lead
Nzoia started on an positives note putting presure on Tusker in the opening accounts and the resulted to Valen Mahero’s attempt from close range just managing to smash the bar.
Tusker started to find they footing in the match in the with efforts from Kevin Kimani and Humphrey Mieno at half hour mark going wide. Jesse Were was was off colour today as he fail to find the net after been by Ronald Musana after a brillianlyt dribbled past two defenders to set up the KPL top scorer who capped a rather disappointing finish to the good build up in the 27th minute.
The match went into the break at goaless,after the breather Nzoia picked up where they left in opening half with occasional raid at Tusker goal more often.They effort payed off when they were award a penalty after Eugene Asike handled in the area.
Mark Bikokwa stood up to convert the spot kick to hand the FKF PL outfit lead. The lead was cut short when Clifford Alwanga craning high to nod in Kevin Kimani’s cross from the right to send the match on post match penalties.
