The Shield Tournament match pitting AFC Leopards against Ulinzi Stars which was set for Wednesday 14 October has pushed backwards to Wednesday 21 October as Ingwe are set to play Sofapaka in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash on the Wednesday.
According to the Football Kenya Federation communications the match was moved to pave way of a league game on the same day as AFC Leopards was plan to play against Sofapaka. Ingwe was set to play the ulinzi in a Shield Tournament matches but with KPL match was scheduled for the same day, FKF has opted to postpone the match by a week.
Ulinzi will now shift their attention to Sportpesa Premier League match against Thika United which had been set for Sunday October 18 at the Afraha Stadium.
Consequently, the match between Gor Mahia and Palos will be played at the Kasarani Stadium on Wednesday 14 October at the Kasarani Stadium.
According to Football Kenya Federation [FKF], Nyayo Stadium has been booked for a national event and will not be able to stage the match, a thing which has prompted the federation to move it to Kasarani.
